Decor/Home Accents-Global Views Company-EG7.90000Ernst Grulers original Sound Sculptures were made from repurposed scrap steel and pressure canisters, with a liberal sprinkling of industrial chic, and the technical and aesthetic attention to detail that informs all of Ernst's work. The bells are meant to be rung, and in many cases other parts of the sculptures also resonate when struck. This is why he calls them Sound Sculptures: they invite exploration and interaction, along with the contemplation

The pieces are not labeled at all, the paint on the threads makes it difficult to get a good tight fit between the pieces, and the way the pipes are screwed together there are two opposing corners that always bow in an make it look like it's going to fall in. It's also really difficult to make level. I really wanted to like this because it fit EXACTLY what I wanted to use it for, but I just can't trust it long term which is why I'm giving it 2 stars.
