I bought two cheaper hoses prior to this hose, and both of them were unusable. One so stiff it could barely uncoil and the other was soft, but would tangle and kink as soon as turned on. This hose is perfect and has neither of those problems - it doesn’t kink or get tangled and it is soft and pliable and lightweight. It’s small when not in use and expands when turned on. The fact that it contracts when turned off, makes it easy to get the water out of the hose.
