Ortofon MC X50 MC CartridgeThe MC X50 is the top of the Ortofon 'MC X' Moving Coil cartridge range. Like all models in the MC X range it features a chassis made with by Metal Injection Moulding a stainless steel honeycomb structure. This is then sintered and coated with a vapour deposited finish. The result is claimed to be an incredibly stiff, but lightweight chassis for the moving parts to work within. The coils are wound from pure silver and every detail down to the material

Loving it so far
I’ve only had this about a week but I like it so far. It has a hook that grabs the vent blade and is very sturdy. It also has a part that slides up and down. I realized after a few days that can be tightened as well. Makes the phone even more still. There is a small button on the right that releases the arms that grab the phone. I didn’t see that noted on the instructions so mentioning it here so no one pulls on them like I did a few times.
As long as this doesn’t damage my vent, I will be pleased.
