She Played and Sang Jane Austen and MusicBy: Gillian Dooley Published by Manchester University Press, 2025 08 19 A fascinating study of the role that music played in Jane Austen's life. Like her much loved heroine Emma Woodhouse, Jane Austen 'played and sang'. Music occupied a central role in her life, and she made brilliant use of it in her novels to illuminate characters' personalities and highlight the contrasts between them. Delving into the Austen family music books, Gillian Dooley

Came on time, easy to assemble, relatively easy to install. Metal rods are actually metal, which is nice. Flanges are good quality, very nice rustic look. Shelves are less wonderful. They are definitely not real wood at all. They are cheap particle board with veneer. I would not have purchased had I read more reviews, BUT it is still beautiful, sturdy and does the trick. We can always cut our own shelves if we should so choose and re-use the very nice hardware. 4/5 for misrepresenting as real wood, but 5/5 for functionality and aesthetic.

Quick and easy - nice pipe kit.

Size: 4-Tier (Not included planks)

Pair these with some shelving boards from your local big box store, and you're in business. These look nice, and are easy to assemble. I had them up and on the wall in about 90 minutes.
