The first step was to create the colorful swirls and patterned glass kilnfired in a thick form. The next step was to draw the design onto the glass with a waterproof marker then cut out on my ring saw. I think this tray is a good value compared to other vendor's products that are $100+. I plan to keep it because it is a good value for me. HOWEVER, realize that the metal base does not extend across the full base of the cork liner. Metal pieces are only on the edge of long side of the liner. Also, the metal is lightweight.
