Acorus calamus (Sweet Flag)Dark green iris like foliage with a small green horn shaped bloom. It grows from a rhizome which runs across the ground out of which the leaves rise up. It has been used in fragrances and medicinal cures since Egyptian times. Little maintenance is required. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in Autumn to tidy leaving a little material to protect new shoots. Plant in full sun to partial shade between 1cm and 15cm deep.

Fantastic soap for the dermatitis and eczema prone

You guyyyyysss, my hands have no dry, itchy spots right now. None. This is remarkable because before now I have for years had issues with eczema/contact dermatitis patches that have at times (aka: most times) been pretty unbearable. To say that I’m overjoyed to have found a natural soap that truly works for me is an understatement. When you use this, you can feel that it’s moisturizing your skin. It’s fantastic. If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor and get yourself a bar. I’m wondering now if I can use it on my entire body and to wash my hair. That’s probably a little overboard, but it’s that good and now that I’ve used it I suspect all my skin problems are contact dermatitis that could be solved by the right soap/shampoo.
