This is a new old stock item, with some black shoe polish inside, although the polish has dried out and shrunken quite a bit. I had another one of these that I was able to empty out and revitalize the paste with heat

I use this brand as my daily body sunscreen and love the smell, so I was tempted to buy this lip balm. I'm so glad I did! It smells great, and my absolute favorite thing about it is that it seems to last all day. I wear it with a light lip liner and my lips stay soft and moisturized after a long work day, 2 meals, etc. It does have a bad taste, but not nearly as bad as other brands I've tried. If you do the lip stick trick with your finger its unlikely to get in your mouth, unless you bite your lips. So its been a great protection against lip biting as well.
