Stipa gigantea, 2/3LStipa gigantea is a large and graceful ornamental grass with tall, fluffy, purple green flower plumes in summer, which fade to pale gold. The seed heads that develop look like huge oats, and wave and rattle beautifully in the slightest breeze. These, with the evergreen foliage, provide autumn and winter interest.
