This toy now has like cotton and polyester strings through the toy tied into knots it easily to chews a part with the dogs, sticks in their teeth and makes a mess, Also easily pulls right through out of the rubber chew toy . After less than one day I ended up throwing away this knotted ball of string and I threaded some fleece strips through the toy and made large nots at the ends, it is now holding up quite well To a pretty aggressive puppy chewer. But I pretty much had to make my own toy
