The micro mosaic is also completely handcrafted by melting Italian Smalti glass and then pulling it into long strings of glass that are then cut into tiny pieces and hand placed with tweezers into the base. My dog (a so-far 30 lb Aussie) absolutely loves these balls. The squeakers in them are great, quite loud. If you hate squeaky toys, do not buy these balls. I love them. They bounce really well, too. My dog loves to jump in the air and catch them on the high bounce (good indoor fun). Also, these are literally the only toy that Remy does not tear apart and consume pieces of. She even tears the fuzz off of Kong tennis-type balls. I also like that because of the "spikes," they do not get icky with saliva. I think these balls would be good for any dog of any size. Highly recommended.
