The flower cones can have shades of copper, yellow and purple in them and can reach 12cm long. This South African plant is found on granite and sandstone slopes so will need a well drained soil with poor nutrient levels and full sun, making this an ideal candidate for a pot or container only reaching a maximum 1. 8m tall.
