Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. The blanket is very beautiful and incredibly soft — exactly as described, and perfect for a baby. However, the packaging is a big downside. To secure the large cardboard with the prominent logo, the product used an excessive number of plastic tag fasteners. It took quite a while to carefully remove them all. If any small piece is accidentally left behind, it could pose a serious hazard for babies, as they might easily swallow it. Overall, great product quality, but the packaging design could be much safer and more thoughtful.
