This design was popular in Germany for a long time. It is an earlier style, made from steel and wood. This one shows some age, but not a lot of use. The teeth are still quit sharp and the cutting blade is also in good condition. It needs a little cleaning.

This author has done an excellent job of explaining the role Churchill played in preparing Britain for WW2 despite being out of government for most of the 1930’s. The author is a curator and historian who has managed the collections at Chartwell, Churchill’s home during that time. Very well researched and easy to read. Anyone who studies 20th Century European history needs to read this book.
