LEFT HAND GLOVE BOX 1953-62You will note from the photograph that on the outer side of this box there is a "recessed" area. The reason that this recess or cut out area is there, is because on the Series Two models the wiper motor was situated inside the dash area and interefered with the glove box if not modified in this way. Amazingly, this design was not altered until 1962 even though the wiper motor position was altered many years previously.

I bought this for our third year wedding anniversary, as a gift for my husband. The 3rd year is supposed to be a gift inspired by leather. The tray is very durable and has lots of compartments. My husband uses it on his nightstand to keep things that he has in his pocket when he empties them the end of the night. The wireless charger is very convenient, although he prefers to actually plug in his phone rather than wirelessly charge it. The charger cable itself is surprisingly of great quality. The leather isn’t too bad either. Good gift for the price point.
