I spend time burnishing the clay so that it has a smooth stone like finish and the inside has been glazed with a high gloss white. This is the perfect bowl for pasta, but is amazing as a serving dish or a vessel for any of your fave meals (I eat ALL my meals from bowls) This item is dishwasher safe but hand washing is always recommended for longevity. I wasn't expecting an extra piece on the back, unlike the other reviews, this book came in perfect. No scratches, no marks, it wasn't printed upside down. Fans buying this will enjoy the commentary regarding concepts, storyboarding, and background arts. Its exactly what I wanted! If there was one for Richter / Nocturne era, I would have bought it as well (and patiently waiting for it lol)!
