Lychnis flos-cuculi (Ragged Robin)Branched stems bear opposite, lance shaped leaves. Clusters of star shaped deep rose pink flowers, each petal deeply cut into 4 narrow segments, appear in late spring and early summer. It prefers to be in moist soil rather than in the water. Little maintenance is required. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in Autumn to tidy. Plant in full sun to partial shade between 0cm and 1cm deep. I made this purchase as a cost-effective way to monitor the meat temperature while cooking without any wires. I have used this in my smoker grill, traditional gas grill, charcoal grill, oven and rotisserie air fryer. I tested the reading for accuracy with other temp measuring devices and find that it has been spot on in every method. It is so easy to use that you push it into the meat to the designated line and it reads the ambient, (surrounding), temp as well as the current meat temp. The display is easy to read and has a backlight when cooking outdoors in dim lighting. It is magnetic so it keeps the controller in place. When finished easily clean the probe with dish detergent and a wipe. I will be purchasing the 4-probe version since I do a lot of smoker grill cooks so I can measure more than one zone or different foods at the same time.
