The green painted steel buckle is the early variation with the flat cam lever, approximately dating the chinstrap's production from late 1942 to mid 1943. The buckle is secured by an unmarked rivet. These brackets are heavy duty and came with the correct hardware. They were easy to install, the two holes were so helpful to know where to mark them. I think because they’re heavy duty you can place a good amount of weight on your shelves. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is that 4/69 of shelves, the paint was chipping but it was the perfect gold color.
