I started designing my website using another book that covered HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I got pretty good with HTML, passable with CSS but could not get my head around JavaScript. Using downloadable example code and the free Visual Studio Code editor, the author takes you step by step through slowly constructing a complete JavaScript-driven website. I found writing and debugging my own code to greatly enhance my understanding of the material. And while I’m yet to get to that stage, being able to do full-stack development using Node.js and Ajax is a major plus. This is the perfect book for beginners wanting to learn JavaScript. Highly recommended.
