There are 6 flaps in total, so 12 pages for the book. Not much to read, but more for the interaction to open those flaps. The edges are rounded, so there shouldn't be any paper cuts for the little one. With that said, this book is thicker than usual, so it's a little tougher for the baby to flip through the chunky pages. The storyteller would probably enhance the reading of the book.
