This is my 21 month old daughter's current favorite book! Richard Scarry's illustrations are so delightful and I like the content of this book teaching important concepts of good manners. We now refer back to this book often and make up new concepts like "The Polite Elephant knows we use our inside voices inside!" I sort of wish the book emphasized some different things, like apologies, asking permission, tidying up etc but it's a great starting place. Some other reviews mentioned the manners in this book are obsolete but other than "tipping one's hat" I don't really agree that that's the case.

Love the Polite Elephant

As parents you want your babies to have the best of books and of Everything. Polite Elephant came recommended by Mayim Bialik's vlog on YouTube. I am not for one to buy everything that is mentioned by celebrities in their videos, but this one was really special as it inculcates good practice and habits.
