My dog loves these and he isn’t a fetching breed. He loves chewing on them while they squeak. He’s a Great Pyrenees and the chewing is good for keeping him occupied when I’m not home. The neighbor dog, sneaks through the communicating gate and will steal one for herself. She’s a cattle dog/ husky cross. The rubber balls are super stiff, which is good or bad depending on your dog. The squeaker is awful and terribly designed, however, It squeaks the first time you or your dog squeezes it, then it falls off inside and it becomes a rattler instead of squeaker. I thought it was a one off thing, but nope, all of the balls had the squeaker fall off inside rattling by the 2nd attempt to make it squeak.
