Der erste Prototyp startete am 5. Januar 1939 zum Jungfernflug Das Flugzeug erwies sich als uerst manvrierfhig und zeichnete sich durch gute allgemeine Leistungen aus. Mehrere andere Flugzeuge blieben bis zum Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs im Einsatz.
