When I throw them they are light weight and they bounce along on smooth flooring. They are made of a soft plush outer fabric and filled with soft stuffing. The squeaker doesn't work very well on any of them but it doesn't bother my dogs at all. I like the bright colors because they are easy to spot when they roll under a chair or table.
