The helmet retains an original olive drab field repaint, texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstrap remnants with black painted steel hardware. What a nice statue. The detail is better than I expected. The flowers look so delicate, yet the statue is sturdy and should hold up well to the elements. Item was well packed for shipping, totally encased in styrofoam. The lights are the best part. They are bright enough to illuminate the angel's face but not overpowering. The lights give her face an almost mystical glow. This statue would look good in any garden as well as indoor use. I don't regret this purchase at all. In fact, considering purchasing another for the back porch.
