It was manufactured by McCord Corp. of Detroit, Michigan and exhibits a lot number of "M 300D". This is one of 325,000 helmets produced by McCord in 1965. The helmet retains an original olive drab field repaint, texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstrap remnants with black painted steel hardware. These brackets are heavy duty and came with the correct hardware. They were easy to install, the two holes were so helpful to know where to mark them. I think because they’re heavy duty you can place a good amount of weight on your shelves. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is that 4/69 of shelves, the paint was chipping but it was the perfect gold color.
